Reiki – The Universal Life Force

Reiki is a form of hands-on healing that draws from the pure flow of divine life-force energy. Reiki balances and replenishes the physical body, aiding the process of healing, by removing blocks in the energy centers called chakras. Along with physical healing, Reiki is known to heal on mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The practitioner simply acts as a conduit for universal energy in order for the body to heal itself.

Reiki is believed to have been practiced for thousands of years – originating in Tibet and enshrouded in secrecy by Tibetan monks. There is also evidence it was used before and during the time Jesus lived.

During a Reiki session, the recipient will become calmer and gain a knowledge that everything will work out, despite his or her struggles. Reiki has been known to bring about understanding, love, joy, happiness, and prosperity. Everyone will experience exactly what is needed for them at that time.

How stress and negative energy affect us physically

When our sympathetic nervous system is taxed, our bodies go into a fight-or-flight pattern. As a result, our heart rate increases, we have difficulty taking in full breaths, our muscles contract, and our adrenal glands become activated, giving off more stress hormones to handle the source of the stress.

We may also absorb energies that do not belong to us. This can leave us feeling irritated, fatigued, drained, and overanxious. Fear is often the strong emotion that blocks our energy and holds us in this unhealthy pattern. But we know fear is only an illusion. Love is real and much more powerful than fear.

During Reiki, it is likely we will become aware of the destructive patterns that have been holding us in an unhealthy state and tap into the power we have to release them. Reiki helps us reconnect to ourselves … to love.

Reiki can be used in combination with other healing modalities. These services are not a substitute for medical treatment. However, they can be used to complement any form of medical treatment.
